November marks two years of moving from California to Oregon. Time really flies, and it’s been a whirlwind uprooting my life and by photography business from one city to another. Back in 2023, I wrote about my motivations for moving, my hopes, and how the first couple of months had been for me as a photographer going from one city to another.

Coming to Oregon, I wanted to do a hard reset and try something I’ve always wanted to explore—food & beverage. It was a time that I felt I could experiment and see if food & bev would be the next big step for HB Photos. I’m glad to have worked with local food brands such as La Oveja Negra and Chio, as well as creating food content for local establishments like Libre and Hip Chicks Do Wine. I also had the opportunity to provide coverage to the inaugural Sobrang Sarap Tour, which gave a platform for the Oregon Filipino Food scene to shine during Filipino Food Month.

What’s next:

As I celebrate two years living in Oregon and my fifth year as a creative professional, I’m taking the rest of 2025 to take stock of the the work I’ve done, and ring in the new year with a renewed sense of where to take my business next.

Stay tuned.
