Author’s note: this post is late and coming in March because ya girl forgot to hit “post”. We truly are still a one woman show here. 😅 But let’s move on to February’s recap!

February usually is still part of the winter hibernation months that I’ve experienced as a creative pro here in Oregon, but this breezed by (literally) with projects and events that almost seemed like “pre-spring” to me.

Beauty Shoot with Imari

As photographers, personal projects are a way for you to hone your skills, try out a style that you’re curious about and work with local talent to foster community.
One of my goals this year was to have six intentional projects throughout the year, so we’re kicking off that yearly goal with a beauty project with local talent Imari and HMUA Natalie.

Kinship Brand Shoot

This month I had a chance of being *on camera* as a model to help promote Kinship, Portland’s first ever Fashion Coworking space.

A lot of folks know I’ve been team behind the camera for pretty much my whole creative career so far, but this year I wanted to challenge myself and lean in being more on camera. Here’s a couple stills from a really fun day.

Galentine’s Portraits at Pamana PDX

I had the awesome opportunity to provide pop-up portraits during Pamana’s Galentine’s Day event. This was the first time I did anything like this at a market, and I definitely had some nerves coming in. But a big thank you to the awesome ladies that took a chance on getting their portraits taken that night!
